- **Job Title: TRI-Rock Life Skills Coach**_

Job Summary: The TRI-Rock Life Skills Coach will assist in facilitation of TRI-Rock workshops, hands-on work projects and mentoring in Phase I of the TRI
- Rock Program. An important aspect of this position is also building trust, assessing, recruiting and supporting youth in TRI-Rock and helping them become work ready.

Duties Include:

- To facilitate weekly workshops related to communication, soft skills and life skills required to establish and maintain employment.
- To provide task training, supervision working alongside youth and follow-up feedback to youth and assess skills development.
- Complete 4 & 8 week participant evaluation and regular feedback regarding work performance.
- To provide a therapeutic milieu that creates a safe and secure place that is supportive of each individual.
- To facilitate community service opportunities for TRI-Rock participants.
- Ensure that the TRI-Rock program is delivered in keeping with the Living Rock’s non
- discriminatory policies and practices.
- To participate in the recruitment and interview process for new intakes.
- Understand and follow all policies and procedures of the Living Rock.
- Ensure workplace Health and Safety:
Report hazard incidents, accidents immediately to your supervisor
Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and OH&S policies of the Living Rock
Participate in Health and Safety promotion and education meetings as required
- Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with youth, supervisors and community agencies with whom Living Rock partners;
- Supervisory and facilitation skills with staff and youth;
- Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to integration principles of non-discrimination and accessibility into practice, service delivery and team relationships;
- Demonstrate knowledge of anti-racism principle and dynamics of racism in employment, housing and barriers in accessing social services for youth form racial and culturally different backgrounds.
- Post-secondary education and relevant leadership experience in human services.
- Knowledge and experience in baking/cooking an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
