Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer or designate, performs routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures on the building, mechanical equipment and utility systems.

Consistent with the SSL Mission, Vision and Values, the Maintenance position contributes to the efficient operation of the Community.

**Job Duties**
- Responsible of the maintenance, cleaning and repairs
- Performs minor repair of buildings and equipment. (Major repairs are performed under the supervision of licensed maintenance workers.)
- Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance
- Procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
- Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
- Performs outside custodial duties, such as snow removal as required
- May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed
- Creates a community wide environment that protects the confidentiality of the residents, Team Members and activities of Symphony Senior Living
- Protects their own health and the health of other by adopting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately and attending all relevant in-services regarding occupational health and safety.
- Follows all guidelines for Team Members and employers as legislated under the Occupational Health and Safety.

- Must be able to communicate in English (written, verbal, reading) to a minimum High School Level.

- You must be in good physical health as this job requires lifting, sitting, standing and walking.
- Must be COVID vaccinated
- Should there be an outbreak, must be able to carry out their duties.
