**Description**:
Landscape crew members will be responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to complete grounds maintenance and landscaping services for our commercial and residential customers in a professional and timely fashion.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
These are essential duties and responsibilities; other duties may be assigned.
- Perform manual duties to maintain landscaped environments including removing debris, mowing and raking lawns, weeding gardens and pruning trees and shrubs.
- Spreading topsoil, mulch and planting flowers
- Operate a variety of hand tools and equipment including but not limited to riding mowers, walk behind mowers, push mowers and a variety of power and non-powered hand tools.
- Load and unload tools and equipment and materials required to complete landscaping projects.
- Must be able to follow directions, work in various weather conditions, including extreme cold temperatures, work as an individual or in a team setting.
- Operate a plow truck, shovel snow for 8-12 hours and complete work in a timely manner.
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Spray and dust areas to control insects and or weeds.

**Education and/or Experience**:

- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the landscape industry.
- Must have minimum three (3) years experience in driving a truck and trailer.

**Physical Demands/ Work Environment**:

- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and small engine equipment.
- Work in various weather conditions; heat, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25-50 lbs repeatedly through an entire work shift.
- Ability to walk, stand, or crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Requires good manual dexterity and excellent stamina.
- Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work, and overnights during winter plowing season.
- This position is not open to students at this time.

**Additional Requirements**:
Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to drive a truck with trailer is required
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
- Effective communication skills - must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, and complete simple reports.
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as a part of a team.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Comply with all company policies and regulations.
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
- Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.
