**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director
- Integrated services, the Contract Lead oversees the creation, negotiation, signing and upholding of contracts for Covenant Care and Covenant Living. The Contract Lead will assist in the process of determining the specifications, analyzing proposals, initiating and monitoring and upholding the contracts and maintaining a directory of the organization’s contracts.
As a leader in the organization high level engagement and inspirational leadership is expected to build positive team dynamics, organizational integration and external partnerships with contractors.

**Primary Role and Responsibility**:
**1. Accountabilities**:
i. Act as a primary point of contact between Covenant Care/Living and our suppliers
ii. Identify potential suppliers based on project or service requirements
iii. Assist with the negotiation of contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers
iv. Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing
v. Work collaboratively with the various business units within Covenant Care and Covenant Living sites to build upon, lead and manage the organization’s contract management process, from initial contract creation through to post execution
vi. Work directly with business units to support operational objectives relating to their contract management activities
vii. Develop, support, evaluate and award RFPs, and conduct service delivery audits on contacts for Covenant Care/Living
viii. Support and manage contract approval and execution process (i.e., review, analysis, delegation of authority, conflicts of interest)
ix. Prepare and provide reports to Senior management, as required, with respect to pending contract reviews, analysis of services, difficult or problematic contractual issues in order to facilitate timely resolution and avoid escalation of disputes
x. Maintain a comprehensive database of existing contracts, required documentation and terms and conditions of contracts
xi. Familiar with document retention policies and best practices
xii. Tracking of contracts in practice and renewals and auto-renewal features of contracts

**2. Service Excellence**:
**Performance Measures Include**:
i. Monitoring of contracts and contract terms minimizing risk to the organization
ii. Initiating contracts and renewals in a timely manner
iii. Focus on impact of service delivery to those we serve in both safety and comfort in timely response
iv. Develop partnerships with contracted service providers and oversee the operational delivery of that service in accordance with the agreed upon contract term by conducting service delivery audits
v. Ensure contracts and supporting documentation maintained

**4. Team Work**: Cares for and works cooperatively with others as an effective team member. Performance Measures Include:
i. Strong, positive inter-facility relationships
ii. Ensure best ‘Best Customer Service’ standards are in practice at every level and the team members develop a sense of belong to not just their team but the teams they serve on
iii. Collaboratively work with Covenant Care/Covenant Living within organizational priorities
iv. Working collaboratively with Leadership team to ensure that issues are identified and addressed
