**Overview**

The Business Analyst is a new, full-time position at Amhil and will be crucial to providing the data analysis and insight necessary to optimize our operations in our journey to becoming a more data-driven organization.

This role will lead our efforts in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data to enable informed decision-making and process optimization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the BA will leverage data analytics tools and methodologies to provide insight to our leadership team for production, sales, quality, supply chain, and other areas of the organization.

**Duties**

The Business Analyst (BA) provides insight to the stakeholders for improving the overall performance of the company through doing a deep dive into the organization, operations, processes and providing analyses of operational data, and identifying opportunities across the organization.
- Not just predictive modeling and statistical analysis, the BA will need to effectively communicate data findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Partner with a variety of sources to identify and gather relevant data.
- Use analytics tools to conduct in-depth analysis of KPIs related to production, quality, and supply chain efficiency.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize trends, anomalies, and performance metrics.
- Develop forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and identify potential areas for improvements in the Manufacturing process, Sales, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement data-driven predictive models for resource planning and align analytics efforts with strategic goals.
- Work closely with IT team to ensure data integrity, implement data governance policies, and support the integration of data analytics solutions into existing systems.
- Support sales and operations in determining costs for new products.

What we’re looking for

- Relevant post-secondary education in data science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
- 3+ years experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in food packaging manufacturing industry.
- Experience with statistical analysis and modeling techniques and data tools relevant to business intelligence, including a working knowledge of relational databases.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Business acumen, with good understanding of standard costing and financial measures.
- Experience with data visualization tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI (DAX).
- Analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Relationship building skills to work as part of a team.
- Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Knowledge of food packaging manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and supply chain dynamics (strongly preferred).
- Advanced Excel function for analysis.

Also nice to have
- Familiar with Amhil products and plastic food packaging experience.
- Reporting tools: Crystal reports, SSRS reports (an asset)
- PMP certification.
