Role Details

- When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. It takes all of us to take on cancer. Volunteer with us at one of our signature events in your community on event day. You can choose a specific role and shift (s) based on availability. You can also assist us when we need event support on an on-call basis in your own community.

- Description

- The Gala des Grands Chefs de Montréal takes place on October 23, 2024 at Marché Bonsecours.
One Silent Auction Host will be stationed by one or two of the Silent Auction Sections in the rooms.

- Why we need you

- Silent Auction Hosts will be stationed by one or two of the Silent Auction Sections to help explain basic Silent Auction Procedures and Silent Auction Rules to any guests needing assistance; provide security; and move Silent Auction items to Auction Item Pick-up Room.

- What we're looking for
- Excellent customer service skills and a desire to help ensure an excellent experience for Guests.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Warm, friendly and professional demeanour.
- Comfortable using electronic tablets or cell phones to help guests bid on items.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Ability to move quickly.
- Physical ability to move objects as required.
