**What is the opportunity**:
Join Energy Safety Canada as an Agile Project Manager, where you will lead cross-functional teams, drive project success, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within an Agile environment. You will support the Project Management Office’s continuous improvement efforts and contribute to the refinement of the Energy Safety Canada Project Management System (EPMS) standard, processes, procedures, guidelines and templates.
**What will you do**:
- Track, document and promptly report on the status of deliverables, budgets, risks and lessons learned of all assigned projects, and provide regular updates to project sponsor(s) and other stakeholders
- Evaluate project scope to determine resourcing requirements, including staff, consultation of external vendors and/or contractors to ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines and budgets
- Using knowledge and experience, ensure all resources, risks, budgets and project scope items are diligently managed to meet project goals and achieve the desired business value
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to assist with the successful execution of projects.
- Some travel may be required
- Other duties as required
**What you need to succeed**:
- Post secondary education in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related technical field
- 10+ years of progressive project management experience
- Proven track record of managing projects in an Agile environment
- Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- Project Management Certificate (PMP designation is preferred)
- Familiarity with a variety of project management tools and software packages
- Experience with managing project budgets. Supervisor experience is preferred
- Ability to coach and mentor team members in Agile best practices
- Experience with the organization of Change Management processes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong presentation skills (capable of explaining complex data in a simple way)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proactive, responsive and disciplined approach. Able to direct self-work
- Detail orientated and committed to a high degree of accuracy
- Self-motivated and enjoys the challenge of working in a deadline-driven environment
- Able to work in a hybrid work environment
