**About Us**:

**Role**:
Reporting to the Director, the Reclamation Policy Manager is responsible for developing provincial land conservation and reclamation policy objectives, standards and guidelines. A critical success factor of the position is to develop and maintain effective, open and consultative relationships with stakeholders, operational staff and scientific researchers to support effective policy development and implementation. This includes partnering directly with other ministries, municipalities, industry and environmental professionals, with organizations such as the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, Alberta Sand and Gravel Association, Alberta Municipalities and Rural Municipalities Associations, Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance.

The team is part of the Land Conservation and Reclamation Section, which is responsible for developing policy analysis and advice and supporting issues management. The manager assures that there is alignment between strategic goals and policy tools. This position operates within the Alberta Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, and is responsible for several Regulations, Codes, Directives and Guidelines.

**Qualifications**:
University graduation in Environmental Studies/Sciences, Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Hydrogeology or related field supplemented by three years related experience. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.

**Assets**:

- Preference will be given to related experience with 6+ years along with related education.
