Receptionist/administrative Assistant

Winnipeg, Canada Westcon Equipment & Rentals Ltd. Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization.
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages.
- Management of telephone system.
- Ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory.
- Type forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.
- Manage month-end duties.
- Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files in their proper locations.
- Prepare daily bank deposits and end-of-day closing duties
- Send invoices and collect payments
- As a front-line worker, present a positive and professional image of the organization to all.
- Managing Health and Safety documents, participating in meetings.
- Arrange travel schedules and make reservations.
- May organize conference meetings or trade show bookings.
- Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services, and other correspondence.
- Coordinate staff meetings and activities/gatherings
- Running errands as required.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Office Assistant Certificate would be an asset.
- Work experience in a receptionist capacity would be an asset
- Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Basic typing skills at 45 words per minute.
- Strong written and Verbal skills with all levels of the organization and its executive team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Time Management skills and ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong Customer service orientation
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word
- A Criminal Record check is required.
