- Leak Detection Operations
- Drinking Water Testing and Monitoring
- Valve Turning
- Responding to Service Calls and Concerns
- Fire Hydrant Maintenance
- Dead-end Flushing
- Sanitary Flushing Operations
- Utility Locates
- Fire Flow Testing
- Duties as Assigned

**Education**:

- High school Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in Similar

**Hours of Work**:
Regular hours of work for this position are Monday to Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (40 hours per week) with the requirement to be available for overtime, on call duty and possibly/occasional day shift of Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (40 hours per week) as needed. On Call Response Time (reporting to the Bishop Operation Centre yard within 30 minutes of being called to report to work) will apply.

**Minimum Requirements**:
Possession of a valid ‘DZ’ license

Possession of Waste Water Operator in Training and Water Distribution Operator in Training Certification required

Ability to operate small maintenance tools and hand tools

Ability to deal effectively with the public and follow work directions

Basic computer knowledge is a definite asset

- Confirmation that you are physically able to perform the essential duties of the position, as assessed through our third party provider, prior to commencement in the position.
Current and valid Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position.
Valid DZ driver's license
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)
Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.

**Your compensation**:
This unionized position (Outside Workers) current hourly rate of pay is $28.27 per hour. Probationary Rate may apply. A comprehensive benefit program is also provided.
