Summer Camp Instructor

**Job Type**: Summer Full-Time. This includes the months of July and part of August (with a possibility of additional part-time weekend work in the winter and spring terms)

**Salary**: $18.00 - $23.00/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Kids learn best when they are having fun. Our ideal instructor is able to engage kids and be silly and get them excited about coding and robotics.
- Kids can be challenging at times. We need instructors who are patient and have strategies to deal with challenging behaviors.
- Encourages and inspires students to further their creativity and critical thinking skills.
- Lead instruction for a group of kids and facilitate games.
- Provides a fun, interactive, and engaging environment for students to thrive in during the summer camp.

**Qualifications**:

- You enjoy working with kids
- You are patient, responsible, cheerful, and you smile a lot : )
- You are comfortable managing a classroom of energetic, young students.
- You have an ability to communicate complicated code and abstract concepts in a way children can easily understand.
- If you have some previous teaching or tutoring experience, that's a huge plus
- It is a good asset if you have some experience working with Unity, PixelPAD.io, Unity, C#, Python, HTML or a similar programming language.
- First Aid Certified is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
