**About the Role**

UberEats is revolutionizing how Canadians can get anything and earn their way. Attracting independent couriers and keeping them engaged on the platform while helping provide opportunities for growth is a critical component of maintaining a reliable marketplace; a marketplace which has an efficient balance between supply and demand.

As the Strategic Operations Manager for Marketplace Operations, you'll have the unique opportunity to develop and scale the entire framework of how to manage the supply and demand to keep the Marketplace at a balanced state, develop and manage the funnel of how couriers first come to the platform and continue using it, building programs for providing magical experience to all pillars of the Marketplace (eaters, merchants, delivery people), and cross functional program management to ensure compliance with earning standards of different Canadian provinces

This role is all about strategic thinking to define vision for the growth while maintaining a healthy Marketplace, understanding the main pain points of all users of the Uber Eats platform while building Tech and Ops solutions to solve for them, in-depth understanding of the regulatory environment that governs app-based workers, ideation and execution on building programs that drive reliable growth in urban vs. suburban markets, all while driving cost efficiencies. This role combines launching product-led features into the market, and developing operations-led features to improve Marketplace health.

**What You'll Do**
- Build the strategic vision, lead the development of strategy, and drive the execution to continue raise the bar on a healthy Marketplace
- Identify, implement, and optimize creative lifecycle management initiatives (seek to balance courier supply with the demand in different markets, early courier lifecycle management, courier segmentation, courier retention and growth through incentives and engagement programs like Uber Pro, compliance with regulatory guidelines) to get results at scale
- Collaborate with a highly cross-functional stakeholder group including Product, Sales, Account Management, Strategy, Finance, Policy/Comms, Legal and Central Operations teams.
- Develop and execute tools, solutions, and processes, to improve the experience of app users while reducing instances of defects
- Experiment, analyze data and assess the impact of your decisions and repeat
- Be a core member of our Courier and Marketplace Operations and broader Operations team, a dynamic team of talented Operations Managers delivering an exceptional and inspiring experience for couriers, eaters, and merchants on the platform
- Partner and collaborate with Product, Sales, Account Management, Strategy, Finance, Policy/Comms, and Global Operations teams to bring initiatives to life

**Basic Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketplace industries, consumer-facing industries, consulting, or other relevant topics. Ideal experience should be in the function of strategy, operations, consulting, analytics, product marketing, or related domains

- You have experience delivering on multifaceted, sophisticated projects with many partners, internal and external.
