Let's take this game to the next level, we need a dedicated and focused Vice President Sports Product to lead the continued development of our digital sports betting product and associated customer experiences within OLG’s Digital Division In conjunction with the Digital leadership team, the Vice-President will help develop the digital strategy with a focus on sports betting products and its customers. The role will be accountable for ensuring our sports betting product meets the needs of our customers and continues to effectively compete in the Ontario sports betting market. This role also plays a critical role to support the Retail Sports Betting team in defining and implementing their product strategy.

Your role in the game

Reporting to the Chief Gaming Officer, you will be empowered to:

- Act as an active member of the digital leadership team with a focus on the sports betting product
- Establish shared vision across the digital division by building consensus on strategies and priorities, leading to successful product/experience execution.
- Lead the development of the digital sports product, brand, and customer strategy
- Collaborate with the retail sports betting team to support their product objectives and maximize the aggregate impact of sports betting across OLG
- Build, empower, and manage a skilled and commercially focused team of product managers to lead agile based teams to meet the business objectives in a competitive market.
- Work collaboratively to lead the development of the sports betting brand, promotions, and overall marketing plan.
- Oversee and provide support to the digital sports development and operation team - which focuses on issues management, monitoring, settlement, reporting and other market enhancements
- Act as the relationship lead with our sports betting service provider - this will include leadership over governance, relationship management, strategic planning, and contract management
- Provide leadership to multiple agile cross-functional teams through the conceptualization, technical development, and launch of innovative products and experiences.
- Integrate usability studies and research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction.
- Understand OLG’s strategic and competitive position to deliver sports products while defining metrics to analyze product success.
- Enhance efficiencies in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid, and creative solutions are the norm.
- Review and continually assess requirements, objectives, and results and bring forward recommendations to increase overall effectiveness and market position
- Act as the central point of contact for OLG leadership, product teams, and stakeholders for the timely dissemination of information, updates, and action items.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and provide strategic direction on potential courses of action

What you need to play

Work Experience: 7-10 years of Product Management Experience or experience in an equivalent field. Experience in commercial decision making with a strong focus on key performance indicators. Experience in working with third party service providers is critical. Experience managing multiple products simultaneously. Experience working with agile methodologies and supporting multiple teams through an agile sprint lifecycle. Sports betting experience and a passion for sports are an asset.

Education/Knowledge: Business management and marketing. Diverse experience successfully managing mobile and web app product launches. Knowledge of potential pitfalls to prevent large scale monetary loses by identifying early and helping teams to determine workable solutions. Advanced knowledge of digital platforms.

Critical Skills: Demonstrated ability to translate conceptual strategies into operationalized outcomes. Ability to collect, assess and interpret customer information to inform strategic decision making. Experience leading cross functional teams in a technology domain. Detail-oriented, ensuring product requirements and user stories are clear and prioritized for consumption by a cross-functional team.

Negotiation and Influence: Ability to align the company around the overarching vision and ensure that individual features and products are in line with business objectives or make modifications.
