**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Plant Operations, this job is responsible for the maintenance of all mechanical equipment at the Water treatment plant.

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:

- Demonstrate an aptitude to Water Treatment. Has skills in maintenance and repair procedures, including; preventive maintenance, breakdown repair and trouble-shooting techniques, typical in tasks
- Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to job function
- Ability to read and interpret manuals related to job function
- Ability to effectively work individually, and or, as part of a team of diverse groups
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
- Ability to follow through and carry out assignments
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of FMP Policy and Procedures
- Ability to read and write English

**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through the completion of**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Drinking-Water Operator Certificate Level 1 or equivalent.
- Will be required to obtain an "Operator in Training Certificate".
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the related field
