General Labourer

**Summary**

Slegg Building Materials is seeking a Full-Time General Labour to join our team. The shifts are Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am - 5pm. The wage range is $19 - $25 per hour. Our Extended Health & Dental Benefits plan starts after 3 months.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priority
- Compare receipt to product in customers vehicle to confirm the correct product was loaded/charged
- General housekeeping duties, stocking of merchandise or various yard and warehouse tasks are as required or directed by management
- Stacking or sorting of lumber
- Weekly inventory
- Practice and promote workplace safety standards
- Specific ownership and accountability for a designated yard section
- Flexible work hours with weekend availability
- Physically demanding
- Locking up procedures on closing shift

**Requirements**:

- A broad knowledge of building supplies
- Valid class 5 Driver’s licence is an asset
- Forklift experience considered beneficial
- Effective communication skills and ability to read and speak English
- Knowledge of basic mathematics
- Basic hand tool skills
- Physical requirements include:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Standing for longs periods of time
- Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
- A positive can do attitude is essential

**The Location - Sidney, 2030 Malaview Ave.**
