Silviculture Forester

**What You'll Do**
- Promote, lead and exhibit Interfor Safety Culture.
- Meet divisional and corporate environmental goals, compliance with regulatory requirements and Sustainable Forestry Initiative certification standards.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, administration and management of the silviculture program, and post-harvest activities.
- Provide leadership and direction to contractors, consultants, and junior staff.
- Manage safety, quality, environmental, and production goals with contractors.

**What You Offer**
- Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) with the FPBC in good standing, or eligible for registration.
- Minimum 2 years of forestry experience in a similar capacity and a passion for silviculture.
- Willingness to learn, be creative and adapt to change.
- Knowledge of forest legislation, regulations and guidelines specific to silviculture.
- Proficiency with databases, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Experience supervising staff and/or contractors.
- Flexible schedule, especially in the spring.
- Possess at minimum a valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license that does not limit or restrict the ability to conduct the duties of the job.
- Positive attitude, dependable and able to work effectively in an interactive and energetic team environment.
- Work efficiently and be able to prioritize multiple projects/tasks.
- Identify and reduce risk, throughout all aspects of the program.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, innovative, and logical thinking skills.
