Jm|F Technical Documentation Solutions Inc. is a boutique specification writing practice specializing in producing high-quality documentation for the construction industry. We work closely with major architectural firms and leading manufacturers to provide customized, cost-effective, and innovative solutions to issues regarding construction specifications.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting with writing project specifications and updating technical documentation including, without limitation, master specifications, product databases, marketing materials and other company resources
- Coordinating with project managers, sub-consultants, client representatives, contractors, suppliers, etc. as required to provide accurate, high quality documentation
- Performing product and systems research as required (e.g. meeting with suppliers, attending product presentations etc.)
- Creating and maintaining digital filing and storage systems

**Requirements**:

- Completion of post-secondary diploma or degree program in architecture, architectural technology, engineering, construction management or related field. Graduates of technical writing or other communications fields may be considered provided they can demonstrate a good understanding of the construction industry. **A copy of your transcript may be required.**:

- **Excellent writing and communication skills in English. A writing sample WILL be required.**:

- **Advanced computer literacy **and proficiency in the MS Office suite
- Organizational and time management skills

The following skills would also be considered an asset:

- Ability to read and write in French

Avec l'expansion de notre équipe et l'évolution de nos besoins, nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) assistant(e) en rédaction technique débutant(e) pour enrichir notre entreprise. Le profil idéal devra posséder des connaissances ou une expérience dans le domaine de l'architecture ou de la construction, être autonome et capable de respecter les échéances avec un minimum de supervision. Nous offrons la possibilité de télétravail et des horaires flexibles.

**Responsabilités**:

- Contribuer à l'élaboration des devis techniques pour les projets et à l'actualisation de documents techniques, y compris des devis directeurs, des bases de données de produits, du matériel marketing et autres ressources de l'entreprise.
- Coordonner avec les chefs de projet, les sous-consultants, les représentants des clients, les entrepreneurs, les fournisseurs, etc., selon les besoins, pour assurer une documentation précise et de qualité.
- Effectuer des recherches sur les produits et systèmes adaptés aux projets (par exemple, rencontrer des fournisseurs, participer à des présentations de produits, etc.).
- Développer et maintenir des systèmes de gestion et de stockage numériques.

**Exigences**:

- Un diplôme d'études supérieures en architecture, technologie de l'architecture, ingénierie, gestion de la construction, ou dans un domaine pertinent. Les diplômés en rédaction technique ou dans d'autres domaines de communication seront considérés si une solide compréhension du secteur de la construction est démontrée.
- **Excellentes compétences en rédaction et en communication en anglais.** Un échantillon de travail écrit SERA requis.
- Compétences informatiques avancées, notamment une bonne maîtrise des logiciels MS Office.
- Capacités d'organisation et de gestion du temps exceptionnelles.

**Atouts supplémentaires**:

- Capacité à lire et à écrire en français.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
