We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Manager Database Management to The Manager Database Management is accountable for the effective management of the databases of the organization (both on premise and cloud) ensuring that databases always operate at maximum efficiency. The role provides leadership and effective management to a team of Senior Database Operations Specialists accountable for the management of OLGs databases in production.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Servers & Databases, you will be empowered to:
- Manage the organization's needs for databases, develop strategies and solutions to meet these needs within technical, personnel, and budget constraints; make recommendations to Sr Manager Servers & Storage- Install, configure and maintain various types of hardware and software, including managing backup and recovery functions and monitoring the performance of databases at all times.- Provide guidance to Senior Database Operations Specialists in the analysis, troubleshooting and repair of database; communicate effectively with colleagues and vendors when resolving issues.- Ensure databases are operating at their best condition by creating and implementing maintenance standards and ensuring the regular updating of operating systems/firmware.- Ensure database software currency with the latest updates and eliminate security vulnerabilities.- Provide guidance in the resolution of problems, including the diagnostic tests required to determine whether the issue is hardware or software.- Provide technical support and instruction to staff as needed and write assessments, evaluations and reports for senior management.- Provide leadership to the Database Management team, including defining team member roles, responsibilities, and expectations; provides timely coaching and performance feedback, ensuring a cohesive operational unit with optimum use of team skills.- Partner with Database Operations Manager in the effective management of database operations including but not limited to database recovery strategies, disaster recovery planning, database security, performance monitoring and audits and continuous improvement.- The role works in close partnership with Technology partners (primarily with Solution Delivery, ISO, EPMO) and other stakeholders when delivery the role accountabilities.- The role may also interact with Technology External Vendors and 3rd party or contracted services as required to resolve issues within accountable area.

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
- Work Experience:_ Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in progressively advancing roles within IT or related functions | Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with Infrastructure Operations | Minimum four (4) years’ experience leading or managing Technology teams in a complex Technology environment | Providing Subject Matter Expertise and/or guidance to the team | Understanding of industry regulations | Required to comply and to interpret regulations and policies and to ensure compliance | May be required to respond to emergency situations outside of normal work hours
