The following full time position is available effective September 2024 to June 30, 2025, with

2.1 Qualifications
- Fluent or conversational Ojibwe language skills
- Current member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)

(preferred)
- Native as a Second Language (NSL) qualifications

are not yet qualified through the Ontario College of Teachers may be
considered.

2.2 Desired Qualities/Skills
- ability to speak Ojibwe;

2.3 The Role
- Teaching Ojibwe language courses at 2 secondary schools per semester

(LNAOA and/or LNAOB)
- Incorporating Indigenous culture in the curriculum
- Focus on incorporating land-based learning into the curriculum
- Involving community partners
- Monitoring and tracking student outcomes
- Regular duties and responsibilities of a teacher
- For applicants who are OCT certified and emerging learners of the Ojibwe

Language, supports may be put in place to assist with building conversational
fluency
- For OCT certified teachers who are second language learners of Ojibwe, there

may be partnership with a fluent speaker to support instruction/programming
- Other duties as assigned
