**Overview for Cook Position**

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Culinary Arts or Early Childhood Education is preferred
- Current Food Handlers Certificate is essential
- Knowledge of Canada’s Food Guide and nutritional needs of children
- Experience cooking and baking for large groups
- Demonstrated awareness of food allergies, including Anaphylaxis
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; be flexible to the needs of the children and the Centre as a whole
- Self-motivated, ability to build positive working relationships with children, suppliers, families and liaisons
- Must have a current Criminal Record Search including Vulnerable Sector and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry check

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 16 months

Pay: $15.85-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
