Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Completion of a post-secondary degree in business, management or public administration. An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered.
- Diverse management and leadership skills with experience fostering diversity, coaching and resolving conflict through effective human resources management and performance management practices in a unionized environment.
- Excellent written communications skills with experience preparing a range of documents, including authority-seeking policy documents, detailed analytical reports, and complex advisory materials and submissions for senior and executive levels of the organization.
- Experience with the interpretation, administration, implementation and review of complex legislation, rules and policies.
- Experience leading the design, development, implementation and evaluation of modernization, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives, projects, and events.
- Experience overseeing a comprehensive regulatory regime where staff investigate, enforce breaches of legislation, mediate, and determine appropriate actions.
- Experience planning, implementing, and overseeing inspection or audit programs.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing and conducting complex investigations involving matters with multiple parties and requiring sound judgement, confidentiality and dispute resolution.
- Excellent verbal communications skills with experience in public speaking in order to articulate ideas in a concise and effective manner, building relationships and interacting effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- General understanding of financial statements and financial numeracy.
- Experience with setting priorities, and organizing and exercising initiative in a fast-paced work environment with high-volume tasks and competing demands.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.

**Desired**:

- Knowledge of adjudication using administrative justice in a quasi-judicial setting

**Duties**:
The Manager is accountable for oversight of the enforcement arm of the Branch which includes 11 approved FTEs; operates within the policy and operational framework for the Department of Consumer Protection and Government Services, ensures the effective management of the enforcement and administration of the consumer protection statutes for which the CPO is responsible. Ensures that the enforcement officers carry out their responsibilities in a fair and balanced manner, with a consistent approach to the administration of The Consumer Protection Act, The Business Practices Act, The Hearing Aid Act, The Personal Investigations Act, The Film and Video Classification and Distribution Act, The Cemeteries Act, The Funeral Directors and Embalmers Act, The Prearranged Funerals Act and Part III of The Mortgage Act, Reverse Mortgage Loans and their related regulations and act in a manner that considers the rights and responsibilities of both consumers and businesses.
