Royal Bellings hair and nails studio is a new unisex salon opening soon in Waterloo.
We are seeking Licensed Hairstylist, Unisex barbers and nail technicians.

We are looking for a highly experienced individuals to join our team.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Primary: Cut and trim hair according to clients instructions or preferences, provide other hair treatment such as waving, straightening or tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages, bleach, colour, highlight and other techniques that are required such as balayage and ombre. Blow drying, iron waving/curling, extensions, roller setting, formal updo's, and men's cuts. Educate clients about products that we carry in salon and work on growing retail sales.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
- Perform a variety of hair styling services, including haircuts, shaves, and beard trims for men's.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area - Sanitize tools and equipment after each use to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired hairstyle and provide recommendations if needed.

**'''Skills'''**
- Front desk experience in a salon or similar environment is preferred.
- Retail sales experience is a plus.
- Proficient in various hair styling techniques and trends - Knowledge of proper sanitation practices in a salon setting.
- Strong customer service skills to provide an excellent experience for clients - Ability to upsell salon products and services to increase revenue.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- You are required to have at least 2 - 5 years of work experience, be licensed, and have a portfolio of your current work, showing versatility and expertise that will demonstrate you are able to advise the client on the best look that would suit them. ( Optional: Be prepared to bring a model to show what you are able to do) Having existing clientele would be preferred, but not compulsory

We are looking for someone who is able to take initiative, has fresh new ideas, and is able to think outside of the box.
- License / Certification:
NOTE: Experience in front desk operations, retail sales, hair styling, or other related fields is an asset.

- Perform nail treatments including manicures, pedicures, and nail extensions
- Clean, trim and polish nails
- Nail art technics
- Provide gel and acrylic nail extensions.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction
- Upsell additional services and retail products to clients

- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nail trends and techniques
- Collaborate with other team members to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere

- Proven experience as a Nail Technician or similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in performing nail treatments
