The Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of the recruiting process throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent by developing and executing recruiting plans, networking through industry contacts and employees, coordinating/implementing college recruiting initiatives, administrative duties and recordkeeping. The recruiter is proactive about business needs, taking business trends into account when seeking out, prescreening, interviewing, and testing applicants to locate qualified employees for job openings. An essential element of this position is the ability to conduct effective interviews using competency-based models.
The position would include some on-call availability.
Job Duties
- Develop with management current and future recruitment needs.
- Contact applicants to inform them of the status of their employment possibilities, consideration, and selection.
- Inform potential applicants about, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities in organization.
- Hire applicants, manage their onboarding and schedule and conduct orientation.
- Collect all relevant applicant documentation and manage employment file.
- Attend relevant job fairs.
- Advise management on organizing, preparing, and implementing recruiting and retention programs.
- Encourage employee referrals, communicating its importance and giving incentives to those who produce successful hires.
- Be up to date on general HR policies, ESA to ensure best practices.
- Create and improve job descriptions as required.
- Conduct frequent industry research of pay/compensation trends.
- Support team with employee requirements and assist in any compensation issues.
- Perform other special projects as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- A graduate of an Administrative/Recruiting/PSW Program or previous related experience in a recruitment role.
- Understanding of employment legislation and regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office), ATS with a focus scheduling process
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and deal with competing priorities and able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Must be customer focused and detail oriented.
