**Job Description Summary**:
STEMCELL Technologies is seeking an experienced senior leader to support our 3-5 year vision and plan to meet STEMCELL’s GMP product portfolio growth strategy. In this role you will be leading our manufacturing personnel, processes, and operations associated with the in-house manufacturing of STEMCELL’s GMP products as well as overseeing GMP products produced at third party CMOs. You will be responsible for ensuring scalability and operational efficiency in GMP manufacturing at both our existing facilities and future state-of-the-art facilities globally, while continually ensuring the highest quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize output and efficiency.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develops and implements the GMP manufacturing strategy to meet organizational goals and objectives, sets annual goals and establishes a 3-5 year strategic vision for the department
- Manages and acts as executive responsible for GMP Manufacturing team in the design, build, and validation of STEMCELL’s manufacturing facilities in line with appropriate GMP regulations
- Implements best practices to optimize production, reduce costs, and improve process efficiency.
- Maintains compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines and quality standards (e.g., cGMP, FDA, EMA), including assisting in the generation of relevant regulatory submissions and provides support for customer and health authority site inspections.
- Effectively collaborates with cross-functional teams, establishes an annual operational plan for cGMP manufacturing (timelines, headcount, vendors, milestones) that align with annual budgets and forecasts; measures performance-to-plan.
- Identifies, implements, and supports manufacturing initiatives, including a digital manufacturing strategy in alignment with company goals, analytical tools, and reports to effectively manage performance metrics

**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- Advanced degree in science or engineering with 15+ years of experience at a Senior leadership level in a medium to large enterprise
- Extensive experience in biomanufacturing requiring Health Canada, FDA and EMA approval
- Experience establishing validation of newly built manufacturing facilities for a medium-large size manufacturing organization with proven experience in achieving operational excellence and optimizing manufacturing processes
- Strong understanding of digital manufacturing and process automation (e.g., DeltaV) including the use of electronic systems such as QMS, LIMS, MES/EBR, and ERP systems
- Must have global manufacturing experience with cGMP and commercial products, preferably with similar products in STEMCELL’s portfolio, such as ancillary materials

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
$163,050.00 - $271,800.00
