Personal Trainer/fitness Instructor

Reporting to the Lead Specialist, our Personal Trainer will be an independent contractor and is responsible for providing exceptional service to all clients and their diverse needs. Using strong interpersonal skills to meet the needs of new and existing clients combined with an intricate knowledge of functional training as it pertains to general wellness and Golf specifically.

Clients will be provided to you in addition to a full assessment for each client. Our Personal Trainer will be responsible for program design and execution of the program for each client.

**Job Duties**:

- Completing 60 minute in-person personal training sessions with clients in a facility where equipment will be provided to you.
- Program design with golf specific techniques required.
- Online program design for clients that are provided to you and delivered via TrueCoach platform.
- Delivery of in-person fitness classes that focus on primarily body weight that serves to all demographics.
- Full autonomy to create class design within a pre-determined framework provided.
- Track client progress and make changes as necessary to ensure that clients are seeing the best results possible.
- Providing ongoing feedback, adjustments and encouragement to all clients throughout the session and ongoing.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of current training strategies and techniques.
- Fulfill monthly session allotment every month for each client is a non-negotiable and exceptional time management will be an expectation of the personal trainer in order to achieve this.
- From time to time, conducting an online fitness class via zoom will be required.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2.5 years as a Personal Trainer or fitness specialist
- Successful completion of a Nationally recognized personal training certificate
- Post-secondary education or current enrollment is required.
- Studies in Kinesiology, Physiology, sports and recreation, Sport Business Management are considered a strong asset.
- Personal Liability Insurance is required as an independent contractor
- Golf experience at any level is required and/or a general understanding of the techniques and biomechanics as it pertains to fitness.
- Strong focus and experience with functional training principles and integrative techniques.
- Comfortable working with all ages (18 years old +)
- Additional certifications including TPI, CHEK or FMS are considered a strong asset.
- Highly organized and strong time management skills.
- Exceptional communication interpersonal skills are a must.
- Flexible availability through the week to accommodate to all client’s schedules.
- Positive attitude that truly values watching people progress and succeed.

**Compensation and hours**:

- Hourly rate based on experience - rates vary for fitness classes, online training and in-person work
- 3-5 hours per week minimum with opportunity to increase hours to 10-15 per week.
- Flexible schedule. Evening and weekends could be required to meet client needs and monthly session minimum
