The Homestar group is seeking an experienced HR manager for our dynamic company. If you are enthusiastic about being part of rapid growth and future development, then we need you on our team

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiative aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of employees.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Creating and maintaining numerous tracking databases.
- Preparation of documents and reports.
- Undertaking onboarding and termination processes.
- Nurturing a positive working environment and being a steward for workplace engagement.
- Networking in community and providing support for pertinent programs to funnel talent.
- Working closely with Provincial and Federal programs to understand subsidies and funding programs available to businesses.
- Developing and attending job fairs both virtually and in person.
- Monitor and maintain subsidy programs and reimbursements.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

**Requirements**:

- Proven working experience in an HR department.
- People oriented and results driven.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable training, speaking, and facilitating in classroom settings and externally.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Strong knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS office Word, Excel).
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills are necessary.
- Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field is an asset.
