Assembly Line Worker

Celebrating our 28th year of business, Jake, Connor & Crew is the world's largest direct manufacturer of containers for the document protection industry. We require full-time Assemblers to join our Assembly Department. Previous work experience in assembly is an asset, but not necessary as we will train. The Assembler performs work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail and quality.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- You have an interest in manufacturing and assembly - entry level roles
- Mechanical ability experience using power tools an asset
- Manual material handling experience as asset
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to:
- Standing for long periods of time, continuous walking and bending
- Lifting approx. 50 pounds (overhead lifting required)
- Able to work with mínimal direct supervision
- Ability to work in a fast paced, physically driven, team environment
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Wood working experience an asset but not necessary
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are legally eligible to work in Canada
**Responsibilities**:
- Build document shredding consoles for the document destruction industry in a fast paced, highly repetitive nature with a willingness to sustain a consistent build activity level
- Assemble cabinets using electric and air tools
- Ensures quality assurance
- Prepare and clean cabinet parts and their assemblies
- Achieve assembly targets as set out by the General Manager
- Prepares completed products for packaging and shipping
- General tidiness and maintenance of work area
