**Duties**:
- Perform service, repair and diagnostic and preventative maintenance to equipment
- Perform procurement of parts and materials
- Diagnose, recondition and repair all equipment components and systems as assigned by supervisor
- Complete reports and documentation as required, maintain good records
- Assist with coaching and development of apprentices
**Compensation**:
- $50.96 per hour
- All overtime is double time
- Benefit plan

- Company sponsored RRSP plan $3.50/hour
**General**:
- This is a full-time, permanent position, minimum 40 hours per week
- Occasional overtime may be required
- Work may take place in the shop, yard or in the field at mine sites, logging sites, construction sites, pipelines in the Thompson-Okanagan region
- Work may occasionally require employees to be in the field for extended periods of 2 - 14 days.
- Language of work is English
**Experience Required**:
- 1+ years related experience post certification
- Knowledge of **Volvo** equipment systems and repairs is an asset
- Experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at a dealership would be an asset
- Committed to continuous learning
- Strong technical background and capable of effective communication with technicians and customers regarding parts and service
- Dedicated to working safely
**Education Required**:
- Successful completion of Heavy Equipment Technician Apprenticeship and achievement of Journeyperson status (Interprovincial Red Seal)
