We are looking for Health & Safety Coordinator for an internship that will start based on our internship availability that is determined by your course. Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you will be assisting in driving and promote awareness and accountability for health and safety performance through all levels of the division.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Assist in driving and promote awareness and accountability for health and safety performance through all levels of the division.
- Assist in maintaining statistics and records and monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations; assist in investigations and complete related documentation.
- Assist the Safety Manager by regularly monitor safety compliance of workers and subcontractors; conduct site inspections and institute remedial action if required.
- Assist in the planning and start-up of new projects with respect to safety issues.
- Assist in conducting field level safety meetings, toolbox talks, and health and safety informational awareness.
- Assist in the administration, documentation and management of the Company’s COR program.
- Assist in keeping management current on the status of any issue(s) that may impact on the work being performed.
- Assist in maintaining an ongoing safety presence on jobsite as need to assist in crew compliance and be a safety resource for projects.
- Assist office and field staff on safety issues and be a safety resource for projects.
- Assist in providing and track division safety training and employee orientations as needed.
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- You must be currently enrolled or have recently graduated from an approved Health & Safety program and be eligible for an internship.
- Having a background in construction would be considered an asset.
- Be a results-oriented leader capable of working productively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Have a good understanding of the province's Health & Safety Acts, Policies, Regulations, and Industry Standards.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Comply with Vector drug testing policy
