The Claims Representative III - Property Claims is responsible for handling a portfolio of very complex claims for Personal, Farm, Commercial and Environmental Lines. They will work independently within their authority and receive support directly from the Specialist, National Property Claims.

**How you will create impact**:

- Directly investigate, interpret coverage for, reserve adequately, negotiate and settle very large, complex, and sensitive Property, Farm, Commercial and Corporate Commercial claims.
- Co-ordinate and direct the appropriate expert investigative team to assist in the assessment and evaluation of losses, e.g. engineers, accountants etc.
- Contribute to a client service culture by embedding client engagement philosophies into daily work and implementing innovative, client-centric decision making, to be THE industry leader in client engagement.
- Focus on minimizing financial or business interruptions losses for the client by getting them back in operation as soon as possible.
- Evaluation of damage and preparation of estimates where required on property losses. This will involve attending the loss scene where required, and a variety of industrial, commercial and large farm exposures.
- Confidently handle complex files in litigation using litigation management guidelines.
- Coach and act as a technical resource for other claims staff.

**To join our team**:

- 5 years successful claims handling experience related to the discipline with progressively developing complexity, including experience with legal and complex claims.
- Expert knowledge of policy wordings, legislation, regulations, construction practices, commercial and farm wordings.
- CIP designation and pursuing further development.
- Provincial adjuster license(s) maybe required dependent on the province of work.
- University/College Degree.

**What to expect**:

- You will travel regularly.
- You are required have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required during peak periods and major events.
- This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.
- Potential exposure to conditions that require health and safety protection, such as chemicals, noise, dust and debris.
