**Machinery Operator (Tractors, Trucks, Zamboni & More) - Rideau Canal Skateway, Capital Property Guardians**

Join our team and help build and maintain **the world’s largest natural skating rink** - the **Rideau Canal Skateway** in Ottawa, Canada We are seeking a skilled and motivated **Machinery Operator** to assist in the operation of a variety of equipment used to create and maintain the ice surface along this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As a **Machinery Operator**, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including tractors, trucks, and specialized machinery with multiple attachments such as snow blowers, brooms, blades, and Zambonis to ensure the ice is maintained in optimal condition for skaters of all ages.

We are also proud to operate our **eco-friendly Zamboni** - the **Froster**, a first-of-its-kind ice resurfacing machine developed by our company. This **eco-friendly Zamboni** helps reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to **10 times **compared to traditional models, contributing to a more sustainable operation while ensuring top-quality ice.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate machinery and equipment to **build, smooth, and maintain the ice surface** of the Rideau Canal Skateway.
- Use attachments such as snow blowers, brooms, blades, and **Zambonis** (including our eco-friendly **Froster**) for ice grooming and snow removal.
- Perform routine checks and light maintenance on equipment.
- Work in all weather conditions, with both **day and night shifts** available.
- Ensure safe and efficient operations of all machinery during your shift.

**Position Details**:

- **Salary**: $25 to $30 per hour (depending on experience)
- **Shifts**: Day and night shifts available (flexible schedule)
- **Work Type**: Full-time or Part-time positions
- **Training Opportunity**: Gain the skills and certification to become a **Boat Captain** for summer operations on the Rideau Canal

En tant qu’**Opérateur de Machinerie**, vous serez responsable de conduire divers équipements lourds, y compris des tracteurs, camions et machinerie spécialisée avec divers accessoires tels que des souffleuses à neige, balais, lames et Zambonis pour maintenir la patinoire dans des conditions optimales pour les patineurs.

Nous sommes également fiers de faire fonctionner notre **Zamboni unique et écologique** - le **Froster**, un modèle de Zamboni conçu par notre entreprise. Ce **Zamboni écologique** a été le premier de son genre à réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre (GES) jusqu'à **10 fois** par rapport aux modèles traditionnels, contribuant ainsi à la préservation de l'environnement tout en maintenant la qualité de la glace.

**Responsabilités principales**:

- Conduire des machineries et des équipements pour **construire, lisser et entretenir la surface glacée** du Canal Rideau.
- Utiliser des accessoires tels que des souffleuses à neige, des balais, des lames et des **Zambonis** (y compris notre Zamboni écologique, le Froster) pour l'entretien de la glace et le déneigement.
- Effectuer des inspections régulières et des tâches d'entretien léger sur les équipements.
- Travailler dans toutes les conditions climatiques, avec des **quarts de jour et de nuit** disponibles.
- Assurer le bon fonctionnement et la sécurité des opérations sur votre quart.
