A _**Hospice Volunteer**_ will provide emotional support, practical assistance within the bounds of the role as a volunteer and respite help as clients and caregivers face a life-threatening illness, death and bereavement. Hospice Volunteers will provide this support at the client’s home or out in the community.
- Requirements:_
1. Vulnerable Sector Check (VON reimburses you if there is a fee)
2. Must have at least 2 doses of the Covid Vaccine and provide proof
3. Provide 2 references
4. Must complete the “Fundamentals of Palliative Hospice Care Education” training course (VON registers for you and covers the fee)
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $0.01 per hour
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Brantford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
