**Job description**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic-minded individual to join our team as a Strategic Procurement Specialist.

In this role you will work within our Mechanical and Electrical Trade groups to prioritize the high level and early stages of the buying process. With a targeted focus to ensure the whole buying process is organized and completed in a timely, cost-effective and ethical manner.

The responsibilities range from identifying and initiating contact with vendors, negotiating and establishing pricing agreements, building strong relationships with vendors, tracking and reviewing vendor performance, coaching and mentoring with trade, purchasing and AP groups.

Your expertise in supply chain management and negotiation will be essential in driving cost efficiency and optimizing our procurement processes.

**Responsibilities**
- Working with multiple vendors, focused on obtaining savings and competitive prices, negotiating discounts/pricing contracts.
- Development and oversight with processes such as requisitions, purchase orders, hardware and tool ordering, sub-contractors and services and other for construction projects.
- Sourcing, reviewing quotations for specification compliance, pricing negotiations, obtaining approvals.
- Supporting projects/jobsites with feedback and expertise.
- Maintain the system to ensure product details and costs are up to date.
- Manage vendor relationships, building strong relations with key suppliers and tracking performance.
- Develop cost reduction strategies, market analysis, providing recommendations for short
- and long-term sourcing.
- Coaching and mentoring with purchasing and buying specialists.
- Track current and historical material and consumable purchases to target savings goals.
- Negotiate pricing for material returns.
- Engage as a team player and work across multiple trade groups, purchasing and AP.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field.
- Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management for the Electrical and Mechanical industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar procurement systems is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
- Strong communication skills for effective vendor management and collaboration with internal teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
