**What You'll Do**
- Assists in the implementation of the Food Safety Enhancement Program as per the CFIA and SFCR requirements
- Conduct pre-op inspection and verify the effectiveness of the cleaning program
- Assisting in the development, maintenance, and implementation of pre-requisite programs
- Premises program
- Purchasing, Receiving, Storage and Shipping Program
- Equipment Program
- Personnel Program
- Sanitation and pest control program
- Recall program
- Allergen control program (if applicable)
- Coordinate and prepare meat samples for laboratory testing
- Assist in planning shelf-life studies on product
- Participate for HACCP meetings when possible
- Coordinate with CFIA for CVS tasks and appropriate and prompt response for verification and Corrective action requests
- Any other job duties assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager from time to time.

- A level of comfort working in an animal processing plant
- Willing to work both Harvest and Fabrication Floor
- Ability to handle strong odours
- Punctual and reliable
- Basic Microsoft Office skills or equivalent.
- Physically fit (able to lift 50 lbs)
- Enjoy working on a team

**Nice To Have**
- Familiarity with CFIA regulations
- Food Safety Certificate
- Previous experience with BRC, SQF, HACCP and/or GMP audits.
