The electricity industry is undergoing transformational change as the world strives to decarbonize. **KEY DUTIES**
- Oversee and manage existing business within the Energy Services and Generation portfolio including solar, combined heating & power, and water billing.
- Develop new lines of business that align with the corporate mission of becoming a fulsome energy provider in generation, business to business, and business to consumer service markets.
- Identify opportunities by synthesizing knowledge of markets, technical considerations, financial metrics, and overall company goals.
- Prepare clear and concise business cases, analysis, and presentations regarding project economics and risk assessment.
- Establish and maintain a rigorous process for managing and monitoring business development opportunities.
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive management team to develop and implement growth strategies and initiatives.
- Execute on the organizational strategy with specific focus on growing the business in the competitive/unregulated energy sector.
- Lead all aspects of non-regulated energy projects to expand Milton Energy & Generation Solutions’ business portfolio.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure Merger & Acquisition (M&A) opportunities and lead related integration activities.
- Establish financial and growth targets and deliver on these targets.
- Develop and manage the annual and long-term budgets.
- Present regular business and financial reporting to executive management and the Board of Directors.
- Introduce the business and develop strong relationships with potential business partners.
- Effectively communicate with a range of audiences, including the board of directors, technical and market experts, local communities, government officials, first nations, utilities, and consultants
- Identify and build appropriate partnerships in the sustainable energy field.
- Identify and secure financial support available through subsidy grants in renewable energy and electrical transformation.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of current market trends.
- Attend industry functions and provide feedback and information on emerging trends.
- Identify and partner with environmental groups to promote and educate the public regarding renewable energy and EV.
- Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.
- Act as an Advisor on projects such as:
- Distributed Generation & Resources
- Energy as a Service
- Micro-Grid Tech
