**MISSION STATEMENT**

**SUMMARY OF ROLE**
The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington is looking for two individuals to support the Program Management team with projects and research to improve the impact of the Foundation’s core services focusing primarily on **food security,** **mental health, education and belonging (**including **Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion). **Tasks and Responsibilities include:

- Support strategic and program plans with a focus on enhancing and deepening impacts for clients.
- Research for program assessment and implementation purposes regarding mental health, educational supports, and equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Collect and analyze community data including, but not limited to mental health, food (in)security, education, and belonging.
- Research and support the development of funding sources, partnerships, and grants for programs, as well as initiatives that support equity and diversity and improve accessibility.
- Research and support creation of Feedback-Impact Plan to ensure qualitative and quantitative data is collected including collecting identity-based data, creating accessible feedback tools (i.e., surveys), and tracking/organizing data and impact reports.
- Organize program-related research, statistics, success stories and program feedback for future use in communications and evaluation.
- Research of post-secondary navigation and mentoring services for students to access scholarships and bursaries.
- Review, edit, and create program SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), as needed.
- Review and interpret provincial and municipal legislation to ensure inclusion and accessibility standards are being met. Ensure compliance with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), including training and evaluating practices.
- Evaluate and report on the progress of employment equity and diversity, and review of

Decent Work practices and culture.

**ELIGIBILITY**
This position is funded by **Canada Summer Jobs**. All applicants must meet the following criteria:

- be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of the employment;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the _Immigration and Refugee Protection Act _*;
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- *International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents._

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Education and/or experience in research and policy development, specifically in the social service sector.
- Experience in the field of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) is an asset. Commitment to EDI is a requirement.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong technological skills including MS Office Programs (i.e., Word, SharePoint, Excel).
- Keen attention to detail.
- A desire to learn and grow.

**ENVIRONMENT AND POSITION DETAILS**
- This position will be working primarily at the Children’s Foundation office, however there is the option for a hybrid remote/in-person work environment. We will supply equipment.
- 35 hours per week for 8 weeks
- Anticipated Start date: Monday, July 10, 2023
- Hourly wage: $19.95 [CFGW is a Liveable Wage Employer]
