Payroll Lead -- 6 month contract, remote Summary - Someone with at least 10 years of Canadian Payroll experience and 5 years as a Supervisor. Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud essential as well as experience in a payroll implementation project It would be a 6 month contract and all work would be remote but MUST be based in Canada Responsibilities: Provide leadership, planning, and direction to the payroll team Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll Create a positive and supportive working environment Drive forward process and reporting improvements, implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Ensure compliance with federal, provincial payroll laws and best practices. Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures. Collaborate with the implementation partner and ensure the needs of the CRS are met. Skills and Qualifications: Subject Matter Expert in Canadian payroll and ability to communicate effectively to share this knowledge Possess at least 10 years of relevant payroll experience Have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Proven involvement in payroll implementation projects Experience with ADP and Kronos an asset Please apply with an updated CV
