Job Title: Solution Architect Location: Remote– Experience Level: Senior (15 Years) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in AWS Cloud, Kafka, and the Retail/E-Commerce domain. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of solution design experience, including 3–5 years as a hands-on architect for cloud-native platforms. AWS certification is mandatory. This role is responsible for defining, designing, and governing scalable, secure, and cost-effective enterprise solutions aligned with business objectives and architectural standards. Key Responsibilities Translate business and non-functional requirements into target architectures across application, data, integration, and security layers. Develop and maintain HLD/LLD, sequence diagrams, data models, API/interface specifications, and integration contracts. Define and enforce reference architectures and guardrails for frontend, backend, APIs, data, and CI/CD/DevSecOps pipelines. Architect systems for reliability, observability (SLOs, tracing, logging, alerting), and resiliency (DR/BCP). Lead cloud architecture efforts on AWS (and Azure), container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift), and service mesh implementations. Ensure GitOps, automated testing, and security-by-design principles (OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, KMS, secrets management) are followed. Review technical designs, code, pipelines, and SAST/DAST results; drive performance tuning and remediation. Collaborate with PMO/Product teams on build-vs-buy decisions, scalability planning, and cost optimization. Align with Enterprise Architecture to ensure compliance and support risk/audit assessments. Lead proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and guide development squads in implementing modern architecture patterns and non-functional requirements. Required Skills & Experience Experience: 15 years in solution design; 3–5 years as a cloud-native architect. Certifications: AWS Certified (mandatory) – SA Pro preferred. Strong background in Retail/E-Commerce and marketing portal design/development. Expertise in cloud (AWS), containers (Kubernetes/OpenShift), API gateways, and event streaming (Kafka). Deep understanding of microservices, REST/GraphQL, messaging, caching/CDN, and databases (RDBMS/NoSQL). Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), security (OAuth2, SAML, TLS), and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, APM). Strong knowledge of networking, performance engineering, and cloud cost optimization. Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Certifications: AWS SA Pro / Azure Architect Expert, TOGAF, CKA/CKAD, CCSP. Experience with compliance frameworks: SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, GDPR. Familiarity with FinOps and cost governance practices. Success Metrics (KPIs) SLO/SLA attainment and system performance benchmarks. Security vulnerability closure time and cost adherence vs. design budget. Architecture-related defect escape rate and adoption of reference components. Time-to-market improvements for solution delivery.
