Senior Salesforce Developer

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer for a 6-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer. Work Location Hybrid (Toronto or Ottawa) Security Requirement Must be eligible for a Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability Clearance Key Tasks Collaborating with the project team to gather and analyze requirements Designing and implementing Salesforce solutions using declarative customization, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce development tools Developing custom applications, workflows, triggers, and integration solutions Configuring Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, and approval processes to align with public sector business processes Conducting data migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, and loading into Salesforce Performing unit testing and assisting with system and user acceptance testing Troubleshooting and resolving defects and issues in Salesforce applications Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior developers and stakeholders Documenting technical specifications, solution designs, and development best practices Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and analytics to assist in data-driven decision-making within public sector organizations Leveraging expertise in Salesforce Public Sector Solutions to tailor Salesforce functionalities to meet the specific needs of government agencies or public institutions Implementing solutions for citizen services, case management, grants management, legislative affairs, regulatory compliance, and other public sector requirements using Salesforce Public Sector Applications Utilizing government-specific data models, security standards, and compliance regulations to ensure data privacy and adherence to government policies Configuring role-based access controls, user permissions, and data sharing rules to align with public sector security requirements Salesforce applications developed and customized according to the project requirements and for public sector use using Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Data migration activities completed successfully, with data integrity maintained Test cases, test scripts, and test results for unit and integration testing Documentation including technical specifications, solution designs, and development best practices Knowledge transfer and training to the project team members, as needed Reports, dashboards, and analytics tailored to assist public sector decision-making Ongoing maintenance and support Estimated level of effort for tasks Data model design updates Status Reports The Senior Salesforce Developer will be required to maintain the confidentiality of all project-related information, client data, and intellectual property. Non-disclosure agreements may be required to be signed before commencing work Key Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of experience in Salesforce development Extensive knowledge and experience with Salesforce Public Sector Applications, including Government Cloud, Case Management, and Government Data Architecture Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, customization, security, and administration, including skills in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs Qualifications Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, customization, security, and administration Proficient in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Assets Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer or Salesforce Certified Administrator Experience with Microsoft tools such as: Visual Studio Azure DevOps Azure Cloud Services SQL Server Power BI About LeverageTek Staffing Solutions Founded in 2003, LeverageTek provides end-to-end, cross-functional staffing solutions throughout North America.
