Security Operations (SecOps) Analyst – Tier 2 Duration: 8-10 months (possible extension) Location: Mississauga/Brampton, ON (2d per week onsite) Hrs/week: 37.5 (8am-4pm) Rate: Jr rate (25-30/h; depends on experience and expertise level) Job Summary/Maid duties: The Security Operations Analyst (Tier 2) plays a critical role in monitoring, investigating, and responding to security events across the organization. You'll provide Tier 2 support for identity and access management (OKTA, Active Directory), triage alerts and incidents from EDR, SIEM, and application control tools, and help maintain PKI certificates and secure password systems. Use your analytical skills to detect threats, perform malware analysis, and support software security reviews while documenting and improving operational workflows. Qualifications: CompTIA Security+ or CySA+ preferred Experience in Tier 2 SecOps, incident response, and alert triage Familiarity with OKTA, Active Directory, ServiceNow, PKI, and Endpoint security tools Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and operational workflows. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills IT security background - college diploma or university degree in cybersecurity, information security, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
