Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a ServiceNow Specialist for our client. Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Requirements: - The specialist will be responsible for leading the setup, implementation, configuration, deployment, and training and knowledge transition for ongoing internal support of ServiceNow's Software Asset Management Module (SAM) within our organization. Key Roles and Responsibilities: - Lead the setup and implementation of the client's ServiceNow SAM module, including configuration, integrations and deployment. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements, workflows, and reporting needs. - Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams for ongoing configuration, support, and management of the ServiceNow SAM module. - Establish processes for software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, and lifecycle management. - Ensure alignment with IT Asset Management (ITAM) best practices. Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: - Proven experience in successfully implementing, configuring, deploying and operationalizing the ServiceNow SAM module, - Strong understanding of ITAM and SAM principles. - Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Software Model Library (SML), and Normalization Data Services (NDS)- Experience with SaaS license management and integrations, including visibility into SaaS usage and entitlements. - Proven experience configuring vendor specific modules including but not limited to: Microsoft, SUSE Linux, RedHat Enterprise Linux, and Oracle as part of SAM. - Proven experience with utilizing discovery tools such as Microsoft SCCM and Intune, and their integration with ServiceNow. - Familiarity with license models (e.g. per-user, per-device, concurrent subscription) and compliance - Ability to integrate SAM with other ServiceNow modules - ServiceNow certifications Expected Deliverables: - A fully configured and operational ServiceNow SAM module, integrated with existing ServiceNow components and external discovery tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, etc.). - Integration with CMDB and procurement systems as needed. - Automated workflows for software reclamation and license alerts. - Documented SAM processes and workflows, including software lifecycle management, license reconciliation, and compliance tracking. - Integration of SaaS license data into ServiceNow. - Implementation of KPIs, dashboards and reports for visibility and optimization. - Training materials and knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams. - Post-go-live support plan and internal ownership transition. Business Outcomes: - Improved visibility and control over software assets across the organization. - Enhanced license compliance and reduced audit risk. - Optimized software spend through identification of unused or underutilized licenses. - Streamlined software request and approval workflows. - Strengthened alignment between IT, procurement, and finance through accurate asset data. - Foundation for ongoing ITAM maturity and governance.
