This role will report directly to the Diversified Industrials Research Analyst in our Montreal office. This position requires an ambitious and self-motivated individual who is comfortable in ambiguous, demanding and fast-paced environment. Your role Analysis of financial statements and the valuation of domestic and foreign companies Development and maintenance of financial models Industry & market research and collection and maintenance of industry and company data Evaluation of additional information from the financial press, corporate, industry and alternative sources Assist in writing and editing research notes, reports and analyst presentations Communication with institutional clients, management of companies under coverage and equity sales staff Your Team Capital Markets is a leading Canadian Financial Services company. The firm is seeking an Associate Analyst who will work directly with the firm's Research Analyst in the Diversified Industrials sector. This position is based in Montreal. Basic Requirements Experience with financial modeling and analysis Strong educational background CA, CPA, CFA designation is desirable Industry experience and professional credentials are preferred Willingness to work long hours in an unpredictable setting Strong writing and communication skills in English Preference will be given to candidates with previous analytical experience in equity research Languages: English, French Reason to require this language: you will need to discuss frequently with our service providers or partners who speak a language other than French.
