What you’ll be doing

You will have a primary focus on the strategic development and implementation of Brand-related initiatives, overseeing execution of brand advertising campaigns and initiatives supporting bank innovations. As the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing you will work closely with our agency partners, consumer insights, digital innovation & marketing and media teams to turn data, insights and analytics into go-to-market strategies that support key strategic pillars of the CIBC brand. 

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Brand Marketing Expertise – As Brand advertising lead within Marketing Communications, you will lead the planning, development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns supporting the CIBC brand, key strategic pillars, and CIBC’s digital innovations. You will participate in brief development, lead the briefing process to creative and media agency partners, and lead a cross-functional team of agencies, internal channel partners, research and performance teams in bringing brand campaigns to market.
  • Leadership – Provide leadership on the Brand team, influencing both internal and external partners as you deliver Mass Brand Campaigns & strategic work. You will help foster employee commitment to the organization, championing CIBC’s mission, vision and values. You will setting appropriate context when coaching to ensure that individuals’ roles support the achievement of CIBC overall goal and build team and individuals by providing development opportunities and mentorship.
  • Marketing Strategy and Delivery – Your primary goal is driving breakthrough and increasing consideration levels for CIBC with Canadians, and will keep a close eye on brand health and brand attribute growth progress. As part of this role, you’ll have strong hands-on experience in the development and delivery of integrated campaigns (direct, online and mass disciplines) and thrive on driving business results through strong strategic insight, client focus and executional excellence.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in marketing/advertising, preferably with agency, financial services or telco (6 + years). It’s an asset if you come with a University Business/Marketing degree.
