As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management and completion of construction projects.As project manager you will plan, organize, direct and control the work of construction sites to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality.In this role, you’ll partner with the client, and a team of estimators, superintendents, etc. This position is progressive and represents opportunities for advancement.ResponsibilitiesRead the technical and administrative specifications of the project to be executed.Acquire the necessary technical and administrative information from the persons involved during the submission.Obtain blueprints and specifications for construction and compare them to bid plans.Report changes to professionals and claim costs.Obtain licenses and permits as needed for the execution of the work.Draft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms and award them to subcontractors.Develop the prevention program requested for CNESST and monitor it on site.Establish the schedule (dates, main stages of construction, constraints, methodology) and/or the critical path of the project and monitor it weekly.Inform the superintendent of the project and discuss with him and the director of the proposed methods.Place orders for critical materials, negotiate prices and prepare contract documents, in collaboration with the construction manager, for subcontractors.Coordinate and participate in various meetings.Establish and maintain a professional and continuous positive rapport with the client.Travel is to be expected.RequirementsHold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.5 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction project management.Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written (required).Proficient in MS Office and MS Project software.Skills and Attitudes RequiredShows initiative and leadership.Strong management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Team player.Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.Ability to respond in difficult situations.Possesses a motivating and unifying spirit.Conditions Offered by EBC4 weeks’ vacation per year.A comprehensive group insurance program accessible upon hiring (health & dental component paid by the employer).A group RRSP program with an employer contribution to a DPSP.An employee assistance program.An active social club.A friendly and stimulating work environment.Company recognized as one of the 2019 Best Managed Companies in Canada. #J-18808-Ljbffr
