The Grey Nuns Hospital Emergency department is one of Edmonton’s highest volume Emergency Departments, focused on providing specialized Emergency care and urgent treatments in a community hospital setting. The Unit Clerk is an integral member of the ED team, supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. You will help support safe, quality patient and family‑centered care with attention to promoting a positive patient experience, while practicing and role‑modeling Covenant values of Respect, Compassion, Integrity, Collaboration, Stewardship, and Social Justice. Description The Unit Clerk performs a variety of duties in support of the health care team, including processing physician orders and liaising with other departments. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement. Classification: Unit Clerk Union: COV CUPE 41 Unit and Program: Emergency Primary Location: Grey Nuns Community Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi‑Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.80 Posting End Date: 24‑NOV‑2025 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 08‑DEC‑2025 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 48 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $26.07 Maximum Salary: $31.68 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications Must have a Certificate from a recognized training program which includes a practicum component. A course in Medical Terminology is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Additional Required Qualifications Acute care experience as a unit clerk in a hospital setting required. Able to work quickly and efficiently in a stressful environment required. Ability to represent Covenant Health professionally in all interactions required. Ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately required. Preferred Qualifications Recent Emergency experience within the last 2 years preferred. Experience with Connect Care EHR asset; Emergency Connect Care ASAP preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
