This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that integrates land, culture, and long‑term visioning.This opportunity is available in the following locations across Canada: Toronto, Timmins, or Thunder Bay.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the proposal and delivery of consulting engagements with a focus on planning services in the Indigenous sector such as capital plans, land/traditional use studies, financial analysis and Comprehensive Community Plans (CCP)Collaborate with Indigenous partners to develop planning frameworks that reflect community priorities.Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including socio-economic, environmental, regulatory and financial analysisManage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financialsIdentify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and developReview, design and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other correspondenceMaintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s businessNetwork in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needsMentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations and providing clear feedbackMaintain flexibility to travel, as necessarySkills And ExperienceDegree in Urban/Regional/Rural Planning, Indigenous Studies, Geography, Environmental Studies, or a related field7+ years of experience in community planning, ideally with Indigenous communitiesStrong project management skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExperience with qualitative research, financial analysis and community-based engagementExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentation developmentExperience in consulting or a strong interest in consulting workDeep understanding of Indigenous governance and planning contexts an assetMyRewards@MNPWith a focus on high‑potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
