Were looking for a Program Lead : Atlantic Canada Job Summary The Program Lead : Atlantic Canada is responsible for driving the successful implementation management and continuous improvement of In-Community and camp-based programming in Atlantic Canada. This role ensures that goals are met with excellence operational systems are efficient and aligned with organizational standards and regional teams are supported resourced and accountable. The Program Lead is responsible for ensuring participants engage in high quality programming and have a positive program experience for long term impact. The Program Lead applies their knowledge of youth development outdoor and experiential education program quality systems and demonstrated excellence in coaching and facilitation to provide direction and support to their team and the communities we serve. This role delivers programs and supervises team members in the classroom community and at camp. The Program Lead : Atlantic Canada reports into the Regional Lead : Atlantic Canada and will work collaboratively with the operations impact and facilitation and instruction teams to ensure a safe and impactful program experiences for all participants. DEPARTMENT OVERSIGHT (Subject to Change) In Community / Classrooms Program Specialist : Nova Scotia In Community / Classrooms Program Specialist : New Brunswick Tim Horton Childrens Camp Program Coordinator(s) Tim Horton Childrens Camp Program Facilitator(s) & Counsellors Work Location Role Location : Atlantic Canada & Tim Horton Childrens Camp in Tatamagouche Nova Scotia. September April : Based in Atlantic Canada this role will be delivering and overseeing programming throughout the region. Occasional travel will be required. May August : Based at Tim Horton Childrens Camp in Tatamagouche Nova Scotia. Occasional travel may be required. Accommodation is available. Employment Type This is a full-time permanent position. Posting Type Internal and external. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Program Leadership & Management Oversee the planning execution and evaluation of in-community and camp-based programs in Atlantic Canada. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards. Develop deliver review and improve creative and innovative programming to be delivered at schools community locations and at Tim Hortons Childrens Camp while ensuring alignment with outcomes and program quality frameworks. Foster a culture of innovation and creativity through building outcome specific engaging creative fun and interactive programs. Facilitate programs based on Tims Camps program curriculum standards and local operating procedures. Monitor program performance and outcomes using data to guide decision-making and continuous improvement. Provide direct support and coaching to program staff to maintain program quality and fidelity in the program. Work collaboratively with Impact team to identify and scale best practices across region to strengthen regional impact. Ensure participants are engaged and recognized for their contributions and achievements. Communicate with educators parents guardians and other stakeholders as required. Team Leadership & Development Provide positive and constructive feedback along with ongoing facilitation coaching and support to staff. Lead the delivery of staff training and support the recruitment process as assigned. Lead the supervision and evaluation of staff. Ensure the completion and delivery of performance appraisals. Manage achievement and development through coaching feedback and full utilization of the Foundations Learning and Achievement System. Promote a culture of collaboration innovation equity and high performance. Foster strong internal communication and collaboration across teams and departments. Risk Management Ensure all THFC program operational standards and risk management practices are implemented as per Regional Lead : Atlantic Canadas direction. Support Regional Lead : Atlantic Canada with the completion of THFC program related audits. Ensure completion of required documentation and follow up as required. Ensure compliance with governing body / association standards related to program delivery at THCC. Ensure clear understanding of the program teams role with the Emergency Response Plan for both THCC and In-Community and train team accordingly. Lead elevated risk management situations as they relate to program delivery and the program team. Lead summer team training for camp-based program team. Ensure all training expectations established in the training standards are adhered to. Document as required. Complete progress reports and all necessary documentation in Salesforce. Ensure all Tims Camps Salesforce practices are maintained. Ensure program areas activity spaces and program equipment are ready and available for safe participant and guest use. This includes inventory maintenance schedules etc. QUALIFICATIONS University degree and / or college background in education nonprofit management outdoor recreation or related field. Bachelor of Education degree considered an asset. 5 years of related experience in program delivery education camp management and / or operations preferably in nonprofit education or youth development settings Demonstrated excellence in ability to lead groups of children / classrooms through engaging facilitation and program delivery skills. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Access to a personal vehicle and licensed with a valid G Class Drivers License or equivalent (required). Must have or be able to obtain upon hire the required level of third-party liability insurance coverage for the role. Daily travel required within designated geographic area from Sept - May. Must be able to work a flexible schedule which could include working early mornings evenings and weekends. Ability to spend extended periods of time at camp and to work an 8 on / 3 off schedule from June August. Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector search (VSS) Valid passport and ability to travel as required for role. Bilingual (French and English) preferred but not required.
