About The RoleOur Vancouver Team seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to develop diverse electrical projects focusing on design, construction, and maintenance of complex systems. The successful candidate will leverage their electrical engineering expertise to serve a broad clientele, including multinational leaders. Your daily responsibilities will include: Performing calculations for electrical equipment sizing and installation, including MCCs, lighting, circuit breakers, motors, transformers, wiring, switchgear, grounding systems. Applying the National Electrical Code, IEEE standards, and insurer requirements in electrical design for industrial and commercial facilities. Developing detailed specifications for electrical distribution equipment, MCCs, drives, field devices, instrumentation, lighting, circuit protection, and power monitoring. Designing power distribution and grounding systems up to 15kV. Creating motor and process control documents, including loop and motor elementary drawings. Analyzing data, preparing reports, and presenting project updates to staff and clients. Mentoring junior engineers and technicians. Conducting QA/QC reviews during the design process. Collaborating directly with clients to develop project options, provide engineering guidance, conduct field investigations, and address critical issues. About YouCandidates should possess: BS in Electrical Engineering with P.Eng. registration or eligibility to register within 1 year. At least 5 years of electrical engineering and design experience. Proficiency in CAD development and drawing package creation at various design stages. Effective communication skills for interaction with staff, external organizations, and clients. Additional Skills & CapabilitiesPreferred qualifications include: Experience with power coordination, arc flash studies, and single-line diagrams using SKM. Experience with power distribution design up to 230kV. Knowledge of Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI programming. Experience developing design packages, P&IDs, and alternatives from concept to construction using AutoCAD Electrical or Revit. Understanding of project lifecycle management in complex electrical design projects. What We OfferWe provide: An annual salary range of $95,000 – $140,000 CAD, depending on experience.
