Maintenance PlannerJob SummaryThe Maintenance Planner’s role is essential to the seamless, safe running of Arbec Forest Products Miramichi OSB Division. The Planner will be creating and maintaining the preventative and annual maintenance program. The Planner will be an analytical thinker who has the ability to communicate on multiple levels and to explain the why, along with the how.Key SkillsUnderstanding of CMMS programsAdaptability – Able to change thinking quickly, reprioritizing tasksAttention to Detail - Pursues quality in the accomplishment of tasksCooperation - Works with others to prevent conflict and share resourcesWork effectively in small groups to set mid and long-term schedulesOrganization - Maintains processes to ensure accessibility of informationResourceful – Understanding of Mechanical and Engineering conceptsTime Management - Balances and prioritizes multiple tasksJob DutiesMaintain maintenance and equipment records, and generate reports regarding equipment history and work ordersCreate and assign bi-weekly and annual shutdown plans in collaboration with various departmentsOwn the CMMS and work directly with the Stores Department for inventory managementSchedule and lead Shutdown planning meetingsWork with Maintenance Supervisors to review and adjust the maintenance programPrepare job plans for maintenance work with safety instructions and precautionsPlan for major maintenance and project workJob RequirementsPrevious planning experienceEngineering background, preferably in mechanical fieldUnderstanding and experience with a CMMSExperience with work orders, preventative maintenance, and equipment recordsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical skills to streamline information and preserve historical dataKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and MMSLean Six Sigma training and/or understanding of process improvement is an assetWork ConditionsExposure to hazards associated with the industry/tradeUse of required personal protective equipmentPhysically able to perform all functions of the position including walking through an industrial plant, climbing stairs and ladders, and carrying objects of less than 40 lbsSeniority Level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment Type: Full-timeJob Function: Engineering, Project Management, and ManufacturingIndustries: Forestry and Logging #J-18808-Ljbffr
