You will contribute to the ongoing optimization of combat mechanics to provide a fluid and engaging experience.Main TasksDesign, balance, create prototypes for, implement and fine-tune combat mechanics, systems and content, including weapons, abilities and behaviours of players and enemiesGenerate new ideas to create or improve combat mechanicsCollaborate with programmers and animators to integrate the various combat mechanicsEvaluate the game in terms of design objectives and identify problems and opportunities to improve the player experienceMaintain constant communication and regular follow-ups with the various departmentsQualificationsA minimum of 5 years' professional experience in game designExcellent knowledge of the game marketAt least one title published on console/PC while in a game design rolePassion for video games and in-depth knowledge of combat mechanicsStrong written and spoken communication skills, especially for clearly documenting game conceptsEnglish-French bilingualism is an assetSkills and ProfilePassion for Dungeons & Dragons, and survival crafting gamesAble to work in Agile modeAble to make decisions in a complex environmentOpen-minded and empatheticPassion for video games and their historyAbility to present one's ideas (verbally and in writing)Enjoy teamworkWhat Gameloft believes in:We play the good game for a better world.
